So, what is this all about?
If you are wondering what this blog is all about, let me explain. As a Classics student in London, I am increasingly struck by how incredible the ancient world is, in its own right and in relation to our world today. Without realising it, we use words originating in Latin, we walk past buildings whose architecture screams of the ancient Greeks, there are modern productions of ancient plays and our lawyers maintain Latin phrases in our courts today (Take ‘Habeas Corpus’ and ‘Mens rea’ to name two).
So here I will draw together discussions, reviews, facts, pictures – you name it, all of it relating in one way or another to the Ancient World.
